In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our core product by integrating advanced AI/ML models and developing intelligent automation workflows. As a key technical leader, you will guide a lean team of engineers, drive high-impact architectural decisions, and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. Ideal candidates have 7 to 15+ years of software development experience, with deep expertise in full-stack development, cloud architecture, and AI/ML integration. They have a proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced SaaS or startup environments, along with hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets, vector databases, and advanced NLP and LLM technologies . Key Responsibilities: Drive the engineering vision and execution for Zonkas AI-first customer experience platform Build and integrate ML/NLP systems, including LLMs and vector databases Architect and develop scalable systems using Node.js, Python, React, AWS, and Serverless Design and implement AI-powered workflows and automation pipelines Optimize infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD , monitoring, and cost efficiency Lead and mentor a lean team of engineers; drive hiring and performance Collaborate with product and design teams to execute the product roadmap Maintain high code quality, system reliability, and security Leverage modern tools like GitHub Copilot, WindSurfer, and Cursor to drive productivity Requirements: 7 - 15 years of hands-on software development including full-stack development and system architecture Strong background in NLP, ML, and deploying LLM-based solutions in production environments Skilled in prompt engineering and RAG architecture Experience working with large datasets, ElasticSearch, and vector databases Strong expertise in Node.js, Python, AWS, React and scalable systems architecture Prior experience building and leading engineering teams in SaaS or startup environments Ability to balance leadership, architecture, and hands-on coding Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure monitoring, and security best practices Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-building skills If this sounds like you, we are here to have the next talk.
