As the Head of Medical Affairs at Bayer in India, your role is pivotal in contributing to the development of medical strategy and providing medical guidance and governance for the therapeutic area. You will lead, develop, and manage the medical team responsible for CH department support, ensuring the highest standard of scientific input into Brand Strategies. Your responsibilities include acting as the primary contact person for medical and scientific aspects of the drugs, providing expertise on medical governance, and overseeing the conduct of clinical trials and commercial activities while adhering to local regulations and Bayer SOPs. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the code of compliance by reviewing all activities related to pharmaceutical and OTC products, approving promotional materials, and overseeing medical personnel training. You will also manage and implement all medical activities for CH Medical Affairs, including budget planning and monitoring. As a member of the Consumer Health Leadership Team, you will contribute to strategic decision-making processes, develop local medical strategies, and establish scientific relationships with external stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, promotion of medical-marketing strategies, and providing scientific leadership to the business unit are key aspects of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a degree in Medicine/Pharmacy/PhD, at least 10-15 years of work experience in the Consumer/OTC sector, and expertise in therapeutic areas covered by Bayer. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in both local and global teams. You should also demonstrate a focus on achieving goals, continuous improvement, and the establishment of relationships with Thought Leaders.
