Incumbant will have direct responsibility and accountability for end-to-end plant materials flow & material management (Operational & daily warehouse planning & execution, Inventory management and control and direct People Management) to achieve/deliver Business objectives & Supply Chain KPIs. He / she will lead and drive cross-functional projects and operational activities to sustain GEM business process excellence at plant; will be responsible to develop a high performing team through robust onboarding process. He/ She will be the bride between the plant and Supply Chain Center of Excellence for all matters related to planning, ie Cutsomer Management, Demand Planning, Production Planning and Inventory Planning.
Direct line management for Plant materials operations viz. daily material flow (inbound, within plant and outbound logistics), warehouse management, Supply Chain NPI activities
Dotted line management for demand & supply planning in line with the CoE control tower structure to achieve Supply Chain KPIs
Lead & develop plant materials team to meet business objectives while balancing cost, cash & service
Drive global supply chain process adherence for operational excellence at plant level
To work as Centralized Service Provider against Regional CoE Planning
To lead and work as Supply Chain representative in various Plant TAM Meetings as required, its MOS tracking, actions closure
Engage, lead and direct plant materials team in line with NPI, PIPO, QMS process RASIC
Lead and drive warehouse operations management
Work cross-functionally for smooth daily plant materials flow operations planning & execution to achieve monthly SIOP targets
Lead and drive supply chain NPI activities in line with NPI Process,
As operations control ensuring,
- On time delivery of parts against OEM / OES / IAM / Interco demand
- On time RM & WIP flow within plant
- Plant Supply Chain KPIs: Premium Freight, Overall OTTR, Customer OTTR, IAM OTTR, Past Due, MPS Attainment, MPS Adherence etc.
- Warehouse KPIs, 3pt DOS, E&O, MHS / SAP Inventory Accuracy, Cycle Count accuracy, Warehouse Cost CPU, OTTW etc,
GEM deployment and its substance for business process excellence
Work with plant leadership & cross functional team for execution of SDP (Strategic Deployment plan) and AOP (Annual Operating plan) in line with Garrett Vision and Mission
Coordinates, support and is responsible for all activities according IATF16949 & ISO9001 related to Plant linked to Supply Chain
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PM, Finance for production planning & execution for cost, cash and service optimization
Ensure adherence to global supply chain standards, PIPO, NPI process for meet assigned functional KPIs viz. SIOP, Production, Inventory, E&O, Premium Freight, Warehouse management etc.
Performs other duties from the superior hierarchical levels as assigned
Lead with support of Global Supply Chain and CoE SC functional for any crisis management efforts including definition and oversight to monitor recovery plans to ensure desired performance is achieved.
Solid line management for plant materials organization
Responsible for HPD assessment & interviews for the direct reports (MRR, PDS, etc), development plans and performance improvement plans and corrective actions as appropriate for team members.
Drive skills development within the Team including setting specific development plans (technical & behavioural) for direct reports and ensuring succession planning.
Lead required actions to retain and attract key talents within the team.
Focus on standardization and best practices across team to align with overall Garrett specific Supply Chain strategy.
Plan overall team objectives, cascade specific goals and performance targets to direct reports and monitor the overall performance of the team.
Create and review periodically the job descriptions for direct reports inline with organizational requirements
Observes work rules and internal HS&E guidelines
Postgraduate & / Bachelor s degree on Business Administration, Engineering or related areas required
Minimum ~10 years of relevant experience in supply chain Management, warehouse management, inventory management
Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred (OEM, Tier-I)
English proficiency level; Country specific local language proficiency
Proficiency in supply chain management, warehouse management, inventory management
Strong analytical skills
ERP tools viz WMS, SAP, o9 and other software related to demand planning preferred
Experienced with MS Office (Excel advanced, PowerPoint, PowerBi etc.)
Presentation and communication skills
Preferred - Six Sigma Green Belt Certification / equivalent certification
