Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Market & Opportunity Identification

Conduct market research and identify upcoming EPC projects in core sectors (e.g., infrastructure, industrial, solar, oil & gas).
Track government and private sector tenders, RFQs, and RFPs.
Build a pipeline of short-, mid-, and long-term opportunities aligned with company goals.

2. Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in public and private sector organizations.
Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
Maintain a CRM of leads, prospects, and key contacts.

3. Pre-Sales & Proposal Coordination

Coordinate with estimation, engineering, and proposals teams to prepare bids.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client negotiations.
Ensure timely submission of EoIs, pre-qualifications, and tenders.

4. Strategic Partnerships

Identify and onboard strategic partners, JV collaborators, and subcontractors.
Draft MoUs, NDAs, and support business tie-ups for projects.
Assist in international expansion efforts if applicable.

5. Reporting & MIS

Provide regular updates on business leads, pipeline status, and win/loss analysis.
Prepare monthly BD reports, sales forecasts, and performance dashboards.
Contribute to strategy discussions and annual business planning.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical); MBA in Marketing/Business is an advantage.
8–15 years of experience in BD in EPC/construction/industrial projects.
Proven track record of winning large EPC contracts or tenders.
Experience working with government departments, PSUs, private clients, and consultants.
