Hardware Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, routers, and servers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, including faulty components and connectivity problems
• Perform routine maintenance on systems to prevent failures and ensure longevity
• Replace or upgrade parts like RAM, hard drives, motherboards, and graphics cards
• Document repairs and maintenance activities for tracking and reporting
• Collaborate with IT teams to support system integration and network infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of computer architecture and hardware components
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Familiarity with operating systems and basic software troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A diploma or degree in computer science, electronics, or IT is typically required
