Hardware Engineer

About the Role

We are developing a proprietary room-scanning hardware device that integrates sensors like LiDAR / Time-of-Flight modules, IMU, camera modules, Bluetooth, battery systems, and communicates with a mobile app.
We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Engineer who can design, develop, build, test, and improve the electronic hardware of our product from prototype to production.

Key Responsibilities1. Hardware Design & Development

• Design schematics and PCBs for sensor-based embedded devices
• Integrate LiDAR / ToF sensors, IMUs, cameras, USB-C, Bluetooth modules
• Select components based on performance, cost, and availability
• Build prototypes and test boards for proof-of-concept

2. Firmware & Embedded Systems

• Write low-level firmware for microcontrollers (ARM, ESP32, STM32 or similar)
• Develop sensor drivers for LiDAR/ToF modules (I2C, UART, SPI)
• Implement real-time data acquisition, filtering & sensor fusion
• Optimize power consumption and battery management

3. Hardware Testing & Calibration

• Calibrate sensors for distance measurement accuracy
• Conduct thermal, stress, EMI/EMC, and endurance testing
• Debug hardware faults using oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer
• Document hardware test results and improve reliability

4. Production & Vendor Coordination

• Work with PCB fabricators and assembly vendors
• Create BOM (bill of materials), manufacturing drawings, and test procedures
• Support BIS certification, quality control, and production ramp-up
• Ensure design is scalable and cost-optimized for mass manufacturing

5. Collaboration

• Work closely with mobile app & backend developers
• Provide hardware API documentation for software integration
• Participate in R&D discussions to improve device performance

Required SkillsElectronics & Hardware

• Strong knowledge of analog/digital electronics
• PCB design (Altium, KiCad, Eagle etc.)
• Experience with sensors: LiDAR, ToF, IMU (MPU6050), ultrasonic, camera modules
• Hands-on experience with Bluetooth / BLE, USB-C, battery charging circuits

Embedded / Firmware

• Strong experience in C/C++ for embedded systems
• Microcontroller programming (STM32, ESP32, Arduino prototypes)
• Understanding of serial communication: I2C, SPI, UART, USB

Tools

• Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs
• JTAG/SWD tools
• PCB layout tools

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience with 3D scanning hardware
• Knowledge of SLAM or sensor fusion
• Experience with EMI/EMC and BIS certification
• Worked in a startup environment or product company

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
