Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automotive ECUs & sensors
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards for DC chargers & battery chargers
  • Design PCBs using circuit designing skill.
  • Job Title: Hardware Manager – Automotive Electronics (Lighting, Switching & DC Converter)
  • Location:Gurgaon
  • Role Objective:
  • To lead the design, development, validation, and industrialization of automotive electronic hardware systems including lighting control units, switching modules, and DC-DC converters, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost targets are achieved in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the hardware design and development of electronic products such as automotive lighting modules, electronic switches, and DC-DC converters.
  • Manage end-to-end hardware lifecycle — from concept, schematic design, PCB layout, simulation, validation, and testing to production release.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, testing, manufacturing) for system integration and product optimization.
  • Define and review circuit architectures for power electronics and low-voltage systems.
  • Conduct DFMEA, PFMEA, and participate in design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), EMC/EMI, AEC-Q100/200, and IATF 16949.
  • Interface with customers for technical discussions, specification alignment, and issue resolution.
  • Work with suppliers for component selection and cost optimization.
  • Guide a team of hardware engineers and ensure on-time delivery of all hardware milestones.
  • Support validation and troubleshooting during prototype and production stages.
  • Drive innovation through new technology evaluation in automotive electronics (lighting control, power electronics, and smart switches).
  • Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Education:
  • B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience:
  • 15 years of experience in automotive hardware design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with lighting electronics, power electronics (DC-DC converters), and electronic switch modules.
  • Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Familiar with CAN/LIN communication, microcontrollers, and PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor, etc.).
  • Experience in DFMEA, DVP, validation testing, and compliance standards.
  • Proven team leadership and project management capability.
  • Key Skills:
  • Automotive electronics hardware design
  • Power electronics (DC/DC converter, LED driver, MOSFET-based switching)
  • PCB layout and schematic design
  • EMC/EMI design and testing
  • Functional safety (ISO 26262)
  • DFMEA, validation and DVP preparation
