About the Role:
As a Hardware Design Engineer at Noccarc, you will take end-to-end ownership of hardware design for our medical devices. Youll be responsible fordeveloping high-performance hardware solutions that meet strict regulatory and clinical standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, address complex challenges with urgency, and drive products from concept to launch. Your contributions will directly impact
healthcare delivery, ensuring our devices operate reliably in critical care environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hardware for medical devices that meet regulatory standards and perform reliably in critical care environments.
- Develop hardware solutions from concept to launch, including planning, schematics, prototyping, layout and testing to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and firmware engineers, to ensure seamless integration of hardware with other components.
- Optimize hardware performance and troubleshoot issues during development and testing phases to ensure product reliability.
- Ensure that all components in the BOM are optimized for quality, cost, and availability, and that the assembly process aligns with production timelines.
- Responsible for ensuring hardware meets all vital performance specifications and quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work in an Agile environment, tackling new challenges and opportunities with urgency, high energy, and passion to drive innovative solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Electronics / Electrical or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware development involving digital, analog, or mixed-signal designs.
- Strong embedded systems skills to analyze requirements, develop solutions, and resolve technical challenges.
- Proven experience in designing products based on initial requirements, including end-to-end product development and leading design teams from concept to release.
- Well-versed in or able to interpret medical standards for Class C & D devices and translate them into product designs.
- Experience with 16/32-bit microcontrollers/microprocessors, with a solid understanding of controller architecture and peripherals.
- Experience in power supply design and development.
- Peripheral interface design experience (e.g., Ethernet, USB, DDRs, ADC, SPI, I2C, Display).
- Proficiency in circuit simulation and signal integrity analysis.
- Experience with DFMEA to identify potential failures and implement remedies.
- Experience in developing hardware designs that meet EMC requirements.
