Hadoop System Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Hadoop System Administrator with hands-on experience in managing Hadoop clusters and performing core administrative tasks such as installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. who has gained practical exposure to Hadoop technologies and is eager to build a career in the Big Data ecosystem.

Location: Mohali, Punjab (On-site)
Experience: 1+ Year

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Hadoop clusters and related ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, etc.).
• Perform cluster monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Handle performance tuning, capacity planning, and load balancing across Hadoop nodes.
• Manage data backup, recovery, and cluster security configurations.
• Apply upgrades, patches, and fixes as required to maintain a stable Hadoop environment.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to optimize Hadoop jobs and cluster resource utilization.
• Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure smooth operations.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, or Google Dataproc.
• Basic knowledge of Python, Java, or SQL for data-related operations.
• Understanding of data security and access control within Hadoop environments.
