About The Opportunity

• Provide on-site inpatient and outpatient obstetrics & gynaecology care including antenatal, labour, delivery and postnatal management.
• Manage obstetric emergencies and stabilize patients—coordinate timely referrals and escalation when required.
• Assist and support caesarean sections and supervise normal and assisted vaginal deliveries.
• Conduct gynaecology consultations, minor procedures, and contribute to family planning and reproductive health clinics.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, update patient records, and follow hospital protocols for medication, infection control and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and senior consultants to ensure continuity of care and participate in on-call rosters.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• MBBS qualification with active registration from State Medical Council / NMC.
• Proven clinical experience in obstetrics & gynaecology with prior RMO, ward or OPD responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage obstetric emergencies and labour management.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Familiarity with peripartum care, antenatal and postnatal protocols, and neonatal stabilization.
• Strong clinical documentation practices and adherence to hospital protocols.
  

Preferred

• Postgraduate qualification or diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MD/DNB/DGO) or progress toward specialization.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or equivalent training.
• Experience working in a district hospital or community maternity unit and familiarity with basic EMR systems.
  

• Hands-on clinical exposure across the full spectrum of maternity care and obstetric emergencies.
