Job Summary:

Guidewire QA Tester

Key Responsibilities:

Perform
functional, integration, system, and regression testing
for Guidewire modules (PC/BC/CC).
Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to create
comprehensive test scenarios and test cases
.
Execute test cases, log defects, and track them to closure using defect management tools like
JIRA/ALM
.
Validate integrations between Guidewire and external systems.
Ensure data accuracy by performing backend testing using
SQL queries
.
Work closely with development, BA, and business teams to understand requirements and clarify issues.
Participate in
Agile ceremonies
(daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospective meetings).
Support
UAT
by helping business users with test scenarios and defect triage.
Ensure adherence to QA best practices and maintain high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

3+ years
of IT experience with at least 3
+ years in Guidewire testing
(PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter).
Strong understanding of
P&C Insurance domain
.
Experience in creating and executing
test cases, test plans, and test scripts
.
Hands-on experience with
Guidewire configurations
, product model, rating, or workflows is a plus.
Good understanding of
integration testing
and validating XML/JSON API responses.
Experience with tools such as
JIRA, HP ALM, Postman
, or similar.
Ability to write and execute
SQL queries
for data validation.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

Guidewire Certification (PC/BC/CC Specialist or Associate).
Knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, REST Assured) is an advantage.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
