Role: Guidewire Data Conversion Developer Location: Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Kolkata Experience: 6 - 14 years Job Summary: The Guidewire Data Conversion Developer specializes in designing and implementing data conversion processes for Guidewire applications. This role involves working with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful migration of data from legacy systems to the Guidewire platform, enhancing data integrity and accessibility. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Mapping: Collaborate with business analysts to understand data requirements and specifications. Perform detailed analysis of legacy data and map it to the Guidewire data model. Data Extraction and Transformation: Develop scripts and procedures for extracting data from legacy systems. Transform and cleanse data to ensure compatibility and accuracy within the Guidewire applications. Data Loading and Validation: Implement data loading processes using Guidewire tools and technologies. Validate loaded data to ensure accuracy and completeness and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans and conduct testing to verify data conversion processes. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure data integrity and performance. Documentation and Support: Prepare comprehensive documentation of data conversion processes and configurations. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data conversion issues as needed. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing data conversion processes and improving efficiency. Stay updated with Guidewire releases and best practices to ensure effective data management. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Proven experience in data conversion, migration, or integration projects, preferably with Guidewire applications. Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehousing concepts. Proficient in SQL and data manipulation languages. Understanding of Guidewire architecture and data structures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Guidewire modules such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter. Experience with integration technologies like Web Services and APIs. Knowledge of legacy systems and data extraction techniques. Understanding of insurance industry standards and practices.
