Group Technology Lead for Bushings & Insulation

Role Overview: As the Global Technology Lead for Bushings & Insulation at Hitachi Energy, you will play a pivotal role in driving cutting-edge R&D initiatives and developing impactful product offerings. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering collaboration among diverse teams, aligning R&D processes with business objectives, and ensuring successful project execution to maintain our leading position in technology. Key Responsibilities: - Align R&D Processes with Business Objectives: Lead efforts to align R&D processes with business objectives to enhance technology leadership and address technical challenges. - People Management: Manage all employee-related activities including recruitment, onboarding, training, development, performance evaluation, and job result appraisal. - Collaborate Globally: Work with global partners and stakeholders to drive market-oriented projects and long-term technology advancements. - Shape Technology Roadmaps: Execute and refine R&D strategies to shape technology roadmaps, enhancing product line competitiveness and fostering innovation. - Oversee R&D Projects: Empower R&D project managers to deliver outstanding results within quality, budget, and deadline constraints. - Facilitate Knowledge Transfer: Promote knowledge transfer and best practices across the organization to contribute to continuous learning and development. - Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to enhance product line visibility and influence globally. - Intellectual Property Protection: Develop and implement strategies for intellectual property protection in alignment with corporate guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Education: A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology Management, or related field is required, along with significant experience in transformers. - Proven Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in people management and leadership roles within R&D or large project teams. - Experience: More than 5 years of experience in R&D, product management, or technology leadership within an engineering or manufacturing environment. - Context: Strong understanding of engineering principles, R&D processes, and technology development, with experience in managing complex projects. - Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders internally and externally. - Innovation: Visionary mindset to foster a culture of innovation and leverage design thinking for transformative solutions. - IP: Expertise in intellectual property landscapes and risk management strategies implementation. - Decision-Making: Ability to evaluate projects and situations critically and make informed decisions promptly.
