Group Technology Lead for Bushings & Insulation

Role Overview: As the Global Technology Lead for Bushings & Insulation at Hitachi Energy, you will play a pivotal role in driving cutting-edge R&D initiatives and developing impactful product offerings. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering collaboration among diverse teams to ensure the successful execution of projects that meet market demands and strengthen the company's leading position in technology. Key Responsibilities: - Align R&D Processes with Business Objectives: Lead efforts to align R&D processes with business objectives, enhancing technology leadership and resolving key technical challenges. - People Management: Manage all employee-related activities such as recruitment, onboarding, training & development, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. - Collaborate Globally: Work with global partners and stakeholders to drive market-oriented projects and long-term technology advancements. - Shape Technology Roadmaps: Execute and refine R&D strategies, actively shaping technology roadmaps to elevate product competitiveness and fuel innovation. - Oversee R&D Projects: Empower project managers to deliver outstanding results meeting quality standards, budget, and deadlines. - Facilitate Knowledge Transfer: Promote knowledge transfer across the organization to contribute to continuous learning and development. - Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders globally. - Intellectual Property Protection: Develop and implement strategies for intellectual property protection aligning with corporate guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Education: A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field, with significant experience in transformers. - Proven Leadership Skills: Experience in people management and leading R&D or large project teams. - Experience: [5+] years in R&D, product management, or technology leadership roles within an engineering or manufacturing environment. - Context: Strong understanding of engineering principles, R&D processes, and technology development practices. - Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders. - Innovation: Visionary mindset to cultivate a culture of innovation. - IP Expertise: Proficiency in intellectual property landscapes and risk management strategies. - Decision-Making: Ability to evaluate projects and situations with critical thinking and make informed decisions quickly.
