This role is for for one of our group - Grainfuel Distilleries Private Limited is an Ahmedabad-based renewable energy and biofuel manufacturing company specializing in state-of-the-art grain-based ethanol production. The company operates an integrated distillery that produces high-purity denatured anhydrous ethanol, Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS), carbon dioxide, fusel oil, and eco-friendly biomass ash products, supporting industrial and agricultural applications. Group Digital Transformation Lead ERP & Automation

• Group-wide ownership of

  Microsoft Dynamics ERP

• Automation and digitisation across:
• Manufacturing plants
• Infrastructure and asset-heavy businesses
• SPVs and project entities
• Single interface for ERP consultants and technology partners

Key Responsibilities

1 Group ERP & Digital Ownership

• Own Microsoft Dynamics ERP strategy across all group companies
• Define and maintain:
• Group ERP governance framework
• Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Master data and process standards
• Ensure consistency while allowing business-specific flexibility

2 Automation & Digital Execution

• Translate promoter and leadership vision into:
• Automation initiatives
• ERP configurations
• Process improvements
• Data and reporting solutions
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency
• Prioritise initiatives based on ROI and scalability

3 Consultant & Vendor Governance

• Act as the

  single point of contact

  for Microsoft Dynamics implementation partners and other digital vendors
• Control scope, mandays, and costs across group entities
• Validate functional designs and effort estimates
• Prevent over-customisation and consultant dependency
• Drive structured sprint reviews and acceptance testing

4 Cross-Functional & Multi-Company Coordination

• Coordinate with leadership and teams across:
• Operations & Production
• Maintenance & Utilities
• Stores & Procurement
• Finance & Costing
• IT / Automation / DCS teams
• Resolve cross-company alignment issues
• Ensure accountability and data discipline at all levels

5 Process, Data & Control Governance

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of:
• Production reporting
• Inventory balances
• Costing and profitability
• Asset and downtime data
• Establish group-wide controls for:
• Master data changes
• User roles and access
• Period close processes

6 Analytics & Management Reporting

• Drive group-level dashboards and MIS using Power BI or equivalent tools
• Enable visibility into:
• Yield and loss analysis
• Asset performance and downtime
• Energy and utility consumption
• Inventory ageing and working capital
• Project and plant-wise profitability
• Ensure reports are decision-oriented, not just transactional

Key Deliverables / KPIs

• Reduction in ERP consultant dependency and mandays
• Improved consistency and accuracy of group MIS
• Successful replication of ERP and automation templates across companies
• Measurable improvements in operational efficiency and cost control
• On-time delivery of digital initiatives across group entities

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

• 1018 years of experience in:
• Manufacturing / infrastructure / asset-heavy businesses, and/or
• ERP functional implementation and digital transformation
• Hands-on experience with

  Microsoft Dynamics (FO / AX / BC / NAV)

  in multi-entity environments
• Proven experience working with external ERP consultants and system integrators
• Exposure to multi-company or group-level ERP rollouts strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of:
• Manufacturing and project workflows
• Costing, inventory, and financial integration
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Ability to convert business ideas into executable system designs
• Strong documentation, process mapping, and governance mindset
• Working knowledge of:
• Power BI / analytics
• Integrations (DCS, IoT, weighbridge, utilities)

Education

• Engineering / Operations background preferred
• MBA / CA / CMA with strong operational exposure acceptable
