Graphic Designer

1. Design and Conceptualization Create Print Designs: Develop original graphic designs for a variety of printed materials such as brochures, flyers, business cards, posters, packaging, banners, and signage based on client or company briefs. Understand Client Needs: Collaborate with clients or sales teams to understand project objectives, design requirements, and brand guidelines. Produce Mockups: Generate and present digital mockups or rough drafts for review and feedback. Incorporate Feedback: Revise and refine designs until final approval is secured. 2. Pre-Press Production and File Preparation Prepare Print-Ready Files: Convert approved designs into final, press-ready files, meticulously adhering to technical printing specifications (e.g., bleed, trim marks, safe zones, resolution). Color Management: Ensure designs use the appropriate color models, primarily CMYK, and manage color profiles to achieve consistency and accuracy between the screen design and the printed output. Typography and Layout: Expertly manage typography, image placement, and page layout to ensure legibility and visual hierarchy in the printed format. Artwork Quality Check: Review and proofread all designs for errors in text, layout, and image quality before sending them to the press. 3. Print Production and Quality Control Liaise with Production: Work closely with the print production team (pre-press, press operators) to address any technical issues that arise during the production process. Material Selection: Advise on the appropriate use of materials, such as paper stock, finishes (matte, gloss, UV spot), and specialized techniques (die-cutting, embossing, foil stamping). Press Checks: Attend press checks for complex or large-volume jobs to supervise the initial print run and verify color fidelity and overall quality. Manage Assets: Maintain an organized digital archive of design files, images, and brand assets for easy retrieval and future use.
