About the role: We are looking for an experienced Government Business Development Executive/Manager to lead our engagement with Indian government entities, including Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Central State Government Departments, and Ministries. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of government tendering processes, vendor empanelment, and compliance regulations while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. What will you do at Fynd Engagement with Government Units Ministries Identify and develop business opportunities within Central State Government departments, including IT, Finance, Health, Education, Transport, and more. Build and maintain relationships with ministries, government officials, and policy-makers to understand upcoming opportunities. Stay updated on government policies, digital initiatives (such as Digital India, Smart Cities, and Make in India), and funding programs that align with our solutions. Manage vendor empanelment processes with relevant government bodies to ensure eligibility for government projects. Engagement with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) Develop strategic partnerships with PSUs such as ONGC, BHEL, NTPC, GAIL, IOCL, and other enterprises that procure software solutions. Track and respond to PSU procurement opportunities via GeM (Government e-Marketplace), CPPP (Central Public Procurement Portal), and eProcurement platforms. Work on long-term contracts, framework agreements, and service-level agreements with PSUs. Tendering, Bidding Business Acquisition Monitor and track government tenders, EOIs (Expressions of Interest), RFIs (Requests for Information), and RFPs (Requests for Proposals). Prepare and submit government tenders, bids, and grant proposals, ensuring compliance with procurement norms. Coordinate with internal teams to draft technical and financial proposals, negotiate pricing, and finalize documentation. Follow up on submitted tenders, participate in pre-bid meetings, and engage with procurement officers to maximize bid success rates. Regulatory Compliance Market Intelligence Ensure adherence to government procurement policies, taxation (GST compliance), and contract laws. Keep track of changes in procurement policies, budget allocations, and funding schemes across ministries. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks in contracts and agreements. Some specific requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in handling government projects in a software or SaaS company. Strong understanding of government tendering, procurement, and bidding processes in India. Proven experience in dealing with ministries, state central government bodies, and PSUs. Excellent networking skills with liaisons, consultants, and government officials. Familiarity with GeM, CPPP, NIC eProcurement portals, and PSU-specific procurement platforms. Experience in drafting financial estimates, legal documentation, and technical proposals for government projects. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
