Gold Loan Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Gold Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling gold loan operations, assessing pledged gold ornaments, processing loan applications, and ensuring smooth customer service while adhering to company policies and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries and process gold loan applications.
• Evaluate and appraise gold ornaments for purity and weight using standard methods.
• Ensure accurate loan documentation and secure storage of pledged gold.
• Maintain proper records of transactions, loans, and customer details.
• Collect interest payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in achieving branch targets for gold loan disbursement and recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or any discipline (preferred).
• Previous experience in gold loans, NBFCs, banks, or financial institutions is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of gold appraisal methods and loan processing.
• Good communication and customer handling skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, data entry).
• Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle cash and valuables responsibly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial services or loan operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
• Knowledge of local language(s) for better customer interaction.
