As a Gold Verification Officer, your role involves conducting detailed physical verification of gold packets, cash, and foreign currency to ensure accuracy with system records. Your responsibilities include: - Checking ornaments for quantity, weight, quality, and purity during the current gold inspection period - Verifying documents and reporting anomalies in Gold Loan pledge/release documents - Ensuring solid ornaments are pledged under all schemes and LP/SP ornaments are not accepted - Reporting on overdue gold loans, low purity, and spurious accounts - Conducting handing over/taking over of branches as required - Updating Purity Index in the system - Participating in gold auctions and conducting special inspections - Verifying various pledge packets and conducting training for branch staff You are responsible for timely reporting of discrepancies, observing and reporting malpractices, and verifying gold ornaments pledged by pawnbrokers. Your compensation will be based on market standards/internal norms. Qualifications required for this role include a minimum graduation with 2-3 years of gold appraisal experience and willingness to travel. Basic computer knowledge, especially in MS Office applications, is mandatory. Strong communication skills in the local language and English are essential.
