Global Risk Platform Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Risk Operations & Support

• Ensure the

  timely production and validation of local and global risk measures and daily reports

  .

• Monitor overnight risk batch processes

  , identify exceptions, and publish daily operational status reports.
• Respond promptly to

  support incidents

  related to data loads, calculations, or report generation failures.

• Manage incident and service request tickets

  using ITSM tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow) track, escalate, and close within SLAs.
• Provide

  technical and functional support

  to business users and risk teams globally.
• Participate in

  release management

  and

  change control processes

  across UAT and Production environments.
• Ensure

  effective communication

  of issues, progress, and resolution details to key stakeholders, including the Global Risk business, IT teams, and management.

Process & Documentation

• Develop and maintain

  runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles

  to support production operations.
• Contribute to

  continuous improvement initiatives

  to streamline and automate risk platform operations.
• Coordinate

  environment setup

  and

  testing activities

  across non-production environments.
• Conduct

  end-to-end testing

  of new releases and patches to ensure system stability prior to deployment.

Infrastructure & Platform Management

• Support

  infrastructure change management

  , enabling access and ensuring compliance for global user communities.
• Assist users with

  query creation and dashboard building

  using tools such as

  Matsuri (ActivePivot)

  and

  Global Reporting Layer (Snowflake)

  .
• Conduct

  High Availability (HA)

  and

  Disaster Recovery (DR)

  tests as required by platform governance policies.
• Participate in a

  support rotation

  , including

  on-call and weekend coverage

  , to ensure global risk platform uptime and responsiveness.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5–8 years

  of hands-on experience in

  global system support

  or

  risk platform operations

  , ideally in a

  Market Risk

  or

  Financial Services

  environment.
• Exposure to

  financial data domains

  , such as reference data, market data, and risk data.
• Strong understanding of

  financial products

  (Rates, FX, Equities, Credit, Commodities) and

  risk metrics

  (VaR, FRTB, sensitivities, stress tests).
• Proven expertise in

  incident management, monitoring, and operational stability

  of business-critical applications.
• Excellent

  communication, coordination

  , and

  stakeholder management

  skills.

Technical Skills

• SQL

  – advanced skills for data investigation, troubleshooting, and reporting.

• Unix/Linux

  – experience monitoring logs, handling batch jobs, and debugging processes.

• Scripting

  – proficiency in

  Python

  Shell

  PowerShell

  for process automation.

• Cloud Technologies

  – working knowledge of

  AWS

  ,

  Azure

  , including CI/CD pipelines.

• Configuration Management Tools

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL Certification

  (or equivalent in IT service management).
• Experience in

  configuration, release, and environment management

• Japanese language proficiency

  is a strong plus, considering shift alignment and stakeholder interaction.
• Experience in

  Agile/Scrum

  environments supporting enterprise-scale systems.
