Global Regulatory Legal Counsel - Associate Director

As an experienced regulatory change lawyer at EY, you will be joining the Global General Counsels Office (GCO) team as an associate director. Your role will involve providing strategic guidance and support on EY's regulatory obligations to ensure compliance with new and evolving regulations that impact the EY Network. Your broad regulatory background will be crucial in driving and managing the implementation of relevant regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide legal advice on various regulatory issues across different legal regimes globally, including the EU AI Act, NIS2, sanctions, global ESG, and modern slavery regulations. - Advise on the potential impact of regulations relevant to EY clients, such as the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act, on the services provided by EY. - Stay updated on regulatory developments, advise on compliance obligations, and identify mitigation opportunities. - Collaborate with the Global GCO team and other internal functions to drive regulatory compliance and efficiency. - Engage and work with external counsel. - Contribute to internal guidance, best practices, and templates. **Qualifications Required:** - Legal qualification with a minimum of 8 years PQE in a relevant regulatory area. - Extensive experience in advising on regulatory compliance and involvement in supporting regulatory change, particularly EU regulations/legislation. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders. - In-house experience is beneficial but not mandatory. **Skills and Attributes for Success:** - Strong team player with excellent negotiation, communication, and cultural awareness skills. - Proactive mindset, high emotional intelligence, resilience, flexibility, and adaptability to changing circumstances. - Ability to collaborate effectively across geographic locations. - Proficiency in understanding and articulating complex legal and contractual principles.
