Gis Executive - Freshers(With Internship) & Experienced Candidates

Bachelors degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Cartography, Civil Engineering,

Remote Sensing, or a related field

• Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in cartography, GIS, or AV mapping

projects

• Proficient in AWS Mapping Tool and at least one of the following: QGIS, ArcGIS,

JOSM, Google Earth

• In-depth understanding of coordinate systems, including WGS84, UTM, and local map

projections

• Demonstrated ability to digitize geospatial features from high-resolution aerial or

satellite imagery

• Familiarity with geospatial data formats such as Shapefile (.shp), .RTN, .gms

• Strong foundation in road infrastructure interpretation, especially as per U.S. driving

and mapping standards

Desired Qualification & Experience:

• Advanced knowledge of Autonomous Vehicle mapping workflows

• Experience with intensity image interpretation, raster layer processing, or working

with LiDAR-derived base maps

• Certifications in GIS applications (ESRI, QGIS, AWS Geospatial Tools, etc.)

• Prior experience working in AV simulation environments or map production pipelines

• Exposure to U.S. Department of Transportation or state-level road policy compliance

in mapping tasks

• Experience working with map validation or QA/QC processes for geospatial data

Key Responsibilities:

• Digitize and edit spatial features using satellite imagery, intensity layers, and mapping

tools

• Operate within AV mapping frameworks and follow strict annotation guidelines based on

U.S. road policies

• Work with large volumes of geospatial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and

adherence to client specifications

• Process and manage multiple file types, coordinate systems, and mapping formats

• Perform validation and QA on edited maps to ensure fitness for machine-readable

autonomous navigation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, GIS engineers, and

quality analysts

• Escalate inconsistencies or technical challenges to project leads with detailed annotations

and documentation

• Proficiency in geospatial data tools and formats

• Understanding of AV technology and how geospatial inputs drive decision-making

• Ability to work in structured environments with tight deadlines and high precision
