We are eagerly seeking candidates with 4 to 15 years' experience for a GIS Developer The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in web-based GIS applications along with required Front-end technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding spatial requirements, developing interactive map features, and enhancing the usability of our web applications using modern frameworks and GIS libraries. Role: GIS Developer Location: Pune / Mumbai / Chennai / Gurgaon / Bengaluru Experience: 4 to 15 years Job type: Full time Impact you will realize: Job Responsibilities Experience with Designing ESRI GIS-based Web application Proficiency with Esri libraries (as Esri dominates the international supply of GIS software, web GIS, and geodatabase management applications), database skills (data management is fundamental to GIS functionality), and programming skills. Understanding of geographic principles and ability to operate in QGIS suite. ArcGIS experience also added an advantage Strong working knowledge of the usage of GIS software (ESRI and Open Source) and spatial Databases (SQL spatial, PostgreSQL with PostGIS extension) Deep knowledge of new technologies, and application design patterns for potential implementation for GIS solutions Evaluate, define, recommend and expand scalable architecture for GIS solutions for our cloud and on-premise products Develop, Architect, Design, and write high-quality, high-performance code in front-end technologies React, JavaScript, Typescript, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS Participation in all phases of project life cycle: analysis, design, develop, test, debug, deploy, maintain and update web based GIS applications Solid object-oriented design and development skills including solid knowledge of core libraries, and design patterns specifically for GIS solutions Distributed/SOA background specifically for GIS applications/solutions Architecture and design capability and ability to evaluate technology and finalize scalable options. Key skills you will require: Primary Skills 5 - 8 years of developing scalable and secure enterprise web map applications using React /JavaScript front end technologies BS in Computer Science & MS in GIS or related work experience/equivalent. Experience with large-scale distributed systems including performance, scalability, and security. Track record of working in fast, reliable, scalable, highly available, multi-threaded web-based services and software components. Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and produce quality deliverables to the client or industry specifications. Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of output, and a pride of ownership of it. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Work with product development and quality engineering team members, as well as company leadership Experience in owning/leading development work with geographically distributed teams, with strong interpersonal skills & proven ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people. Excellent verbal communication, analytical skills, and critical thinking. Be able to communicate openly and frequently with all members of the team .
