GIS Developer

As a GIS Developer, you will play a crucial role in implementing GIS solutions and maintaining geodatabases to ensure optimal performance. Your responsibilities will include: - Implementing GIS solutions as a software developer - Publishing and administering map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server - Tuning and troubleshooting map services for optimal performance - Maintaining and administering geodatabases using PostGIS, ArcGIS GeoDBs - Utilizing open-source GIS software like GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas, and GeoSpark - Programming in languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript - Working with ESRI APIs and tools like ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, and ArcGIS Online - Utilizing web frameworks including Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers - Working with SQL databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL - Collaborating in an agile environment using Scrum and Kanban methodologies Qualifications required for this role: - BS in computer science, engineering, or related field - 2+ years of experience in GIS solutions development - Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript - Experience with ESRI APIs and tools - Familiarity with web frameworks like Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers - Proficiency in SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL The desired qualifications for this role include experience in a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment, familiarity with technologies like Google Big Query, Airflow, Elastic Search, Spark, Kafka, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, VS Code, and Kubernetes.
