Procurement :-

• Planning of annual requirement of material in line with annual budgeted objectives and establishing Procurement strategy, targets and action plans.

• Cost reduction initiatives in Procurement & Logistics costs.

• Procurement of Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals, Ferro alloys, fluxes, Refractories, Fuels, Lubes, consumables, MRO and Engineering materials.

• Total Management Contract linked with Monthly Steel Production.

• Offshore material supply with a strategic focus on inventory, lead time, currency fluctuation, quality and legal issues.

• Scheduling of offshore shipment planning of critical material (Refractories, Major Machineries, Spares and Consumables)

• Expert in procurement of all mining spares & services like support material, cables, oil and lubricant, Explosives, Mill balls, pump spares,

  man power etc.

• Source and develop vendors to improve quality / rate of materials and delivery schedules.

• Experienced in purchase of a wide range of materials such as electrical & control panels, consumables, fasteners & bearings, items for material handling & telephone / exchange systems and importing materials from US and Europe for respective projects to India.

• Maintain purchase budgets by bringing in cost competitiveness among vendors and reducing landed costs of items.

• Audit suppliers invoices and interact with the Accounts Department for the

  payments.

• Handle the Import cases starting from the Quotation, ordering, payment, Pick-up and delivery of the material.
