General Manager – Projects & Client Development`

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Projects & Client Development to lead our entry into the iron ore mining sector. The role involves establishing new client relationships, representing the company with mining authorities, and setting up the groundwork for successful production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the face of the company, introducing our mining capabilities to potential clients, contractors, and government agencies.
• Secure new contracts and partnerships in iron ore mining.
• Ensure compliance with mining laws, permits, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and mobilize manpower/resources.
• Lead the project setup phase – camp establishment, local hiring, equipment deployment, and logistics.
• Represent the company at industry forums, client meetings, and regulatory discussions.
• Hand over developed projects to the Production & Operations team for execution.
• Provide regular reports and business intelligence to top management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mining Engineering / Business / Project Management.
• 15+ years of experience in mining (iron ore preferred), with exposure to project development & client acquisition.
• Strong network with mining industry stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of mining compliance, licensing, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and representation skills.
• Ability to manage multicultural teams and work in remote locations.
