General Manager Project(PV Cell manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Strategy

• Define and execute the complete roadmap for setting up a 2GW PV cell manufacturing facility from greenfield stage.
  
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, CAPEX budgets, resource allocation, and milestone-based progress metrics.
  
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants for feasibility studies, layout planning, and technology selection.
  

2. Technology & Process Design

• Select appropriate cell manufacturing technology (PERC, TOPCon, HJT, etc.) based on market trends and cost-performance analysis.
  
• Finalize process flows, cleanroom standards, material handling systems, and line architecture.
  
• Collaborate with R&D and process engineering teams for scalable and high-efficiency design integration.
  

3. Vendor & Equipment Finalization

• Evaluate and select vendors for critical equipment such as diffusion furnaces, PECVD, screen printers, wet benches, firing furnaces, automation, and inspection tools.
  
• Lead contract negotiations with OEMs, EPC contractors, utilities, and service providers.
  
• Oversee equipment ordering, delivery, installation, and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
  

4. Plant Construction & Infrastructure

• Supervise civil, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure development including cleanroom setup, HVAC, water treatment, gas delivery systems, ETP, and power supply systems.
  
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, environmental, and building safety codes.
  

5. Team Building & Organizational Setup

• Build and lead a cross-functional project team including engineering, procurement, project management, EHS, quality, and operations.
  
• Develop SOPs, org charts, and training plans for future operations and maintenance teams.
  

6. Regulatory & Compliance

• Liaise with government bodies, utility companies, and statutory authorities for approvals (factory license, PCB, fire, safety, electrical, and labor compliances).
  
• Ensure environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards are met throughout the setup.
  

7. Commissioning & Ramp-Up

• Lead plant commissioning activities, dry runs, and production ramp-up trials to reach steady-state production.
  
• Ensure first-pass yield, throughput targets, and cell efficiency benchmarks are met during initial runs.
  

8. Cost Control & Risk Management

• Monitor project budget, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery within allocated resources.
  
• Establish cost models and benchmarks for key CAPEX and OPEX components.
