General Manager-Lighting & Body electronics

The role of Automotive Lighting and Integration of Body Electronics components in E&E architecture involves developing strategies to meet quality, cost, and time targets for a range of PVBU and EVBU vehicles. This includes integrating lighting technologies and fostering competencies for future growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing an innovation and technology roadmap by scanning technology implications in automotive lighting and electronic components. You will keep abreast of attribute and technology trends, review feasibility of new technologies, and oversee the development of critical technologies for Tata Motors" product portfolio. Additionally, you will be involved in generating IPR ideas and overseeing patent submissions. You will also be required to identify the skills and capabilities needed in Automotive Lighting and Body Electronics integration, develop relevant tools and technologies, and create engineering capability plans. Your role will involve reviewing critical issues, providing technical expertise, and implementing best practices to enhance design quality and reduce development risks. Furthermore, you will review and drive corrective measures on quality issues, evaluate VA/VE initiatives, and ensure the implementation of cost-effective solutions. People development is another crucial aspect of this role, where you will cascade BSC targets, monitor performance, provide feedback, and ensure the distribution of responsibilities. Internal communication will involve reviewing technology roadmaps, project delivery progress, competency plans, and critical quality risks. External communication will include reviewing supplier technology roadmaps, part development progress, and engaging in competency and capacity extension. The ideal candidate for this position should have a graduation in Engineering, at least 18 years of experience in engineering and development of automotive lighting, knowledge of automotive lighting products and development processes, and experience in leading product engineering cycles.
