Job Description

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day leadership and direction of the hotel, focusing on maximizing sales and revenue while driving financial returns. Your role will involve developing your team, ensuring brand standards are met, and increasing awareness of the hotel and brand within the local area. Key Responsibilities: - Develop programmes and initiatives to enhance team engagement in line with the hotel's service philosophy. - Implement and monitor team member succession planning to ensure future bench strength. - Set performance and development goals for team members, provide mentoring and coaching, and offer regular feedback to improve performance. - Oversee HR-related actions in compliance with company rules and policies. Guest Experience: - Maintain compliance with all required brand and service standards to demonstrate brand citizenship. - Work towards improving guest satisfaction goals. - Collaborate with colleagues and hotel team members to deliver services and programmes that exceed guest expectations. - Interact with guests, gather feedback, and build relationships with them. Financial: - Develop annual capital, cash flow, sales, and marketing plans for accurate budget forecasting. - Analyze financial data to drive revenues, future profitability, and maximize return on investment. - Utilize distribution channels and technology platforms to increase revenue and market share. - Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including maintaining or enhancing the property's market leadership position. Responsible Business: - Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and hotel assets. - Act as a public relations representative to enhance awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community. - Encourage team member involvement in community organizations, activities, and businesses. - Implement action plans to promote environmental consciousness and reduce the hotel's carbon footprint. - Perform any other duties as assigned, including serving as the manager on duty. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent. - Five to ten years of previous hotel management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience. - Experience requirements may vary depending on the size and complexity of the operation. - Fluency in English is a must, while knowledge of other languages is preferred.
