General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the

  quality control operations

   across the DRI plant to ensure product quality, reliability, and consistency.
• Develop, implement, and monitor

  quality assurance policies, SOPs, and inspection protocols

  .
• Ensure

  compliance with BIS, ISO, and other regulatory quality standards

   relevant to the iron & steel industry.
• Oversee raw material (iron ore, coal, dolomite, etc.) and finished product quality testing, analysis, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Process teams to address

  quality deviations and process improvements

  .
• Implement

  advanced quality tools

   such as SPC, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Drive initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and wastage while improving product yield and performance.
• Lead, train, and mentor the QC team to build a

  culture of quality and accountability

  .
• Interact with senior management and customers to ensure product specifications and expectations are met.
• Prepare and present

  periodic MIS, quality reports, and audit findings

   to top management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum

  20+ years of experience

   in the Iron & Steel industry, with at least

  810 years in a leadership role

   in DRI/Steel Plant QC.
• Strong knowledge of

  DRI production process, metallurgical testing, and quality standards

  .
• Experience with laboratory operations, spectrometer analysis, and material testing techniques.
• Hands-on exposure to

  quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, BIS compliance, and NABL accreditation

   preferred.
• Proven track record of

  leading large QC teams

   and driving quality improvements in plant operations.
