General Insurance Agent

A General Insurance Agent identifies client needs to sell appropriate insurance policies for property, casualty, auto, and other general assets, acting as a liaison between the client and the insurance company. Key responsibilities include prospecting and selling policies, assessing client needs and risk, providing expert advice, managing policies and renewals, assisting with claims, and maintaining professional knowledge through continuing education and networking.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prospecting & Sales: Generate new business by contacting potential clients through various channels, including referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
• Policy Recommendations: Educate clients on available insurance options, explain policy details, and recommend suitable general insurance policies (e.g., property, auto, casualty) based on their unique circumstances.
• Policy Management: Process applications, obtain underwriting approval, manage policy renewals, and assist with any policy changes or updates.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Claim Assistance: Guide policyholders through the claims process, assisting with declarations and follow-up until compensation is paid.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and regulatory changes by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
