Job Description

Senior QA Engineer - (7-9 Years Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning:
Define and lead comprehensive test strategies for web, backend, and microservices-based systems, including AI-enabled workflows. Ensure coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance scenarios.
Automation Framework Development:
Design and maintain robust automation frameworks for backend services and APIs. Utilize tools like
Selenium
for UI (if applicable), and
Postman, or RestAssured
for backend/API automation.
API & Microservices Testing:
Perform extensive testing of
RESTful APIs
, service contracts, and
inter-service communication
. Ensure reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance across distributed systems.
AI/GenAI Testing (Nice to Have):
Collaborate with AI/ML developers to validate AI outputs, workflows, and integration points. Assist in testing GenAI-related features like prompt flows or RAG pipelines when relevant.
Bug Lifecycle Management:
Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using
JIRA
or similar tools. Work closely with developers to ensure timely issue resolution and improved coverage.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Partner with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality standards. Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to quality best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:
- 7-9 years
  of professional experience in QA/testing roles across full-stack or backend-heavy systems.
- 5+ years
  of experience in test automation, including API and service-level testing.
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments with regular CI/CD delivery cycles.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in API test automation using
  Postman, RestAssured
- Familiarity with
  microservices testing approaches
  and distributed system reliability.
- Strong experience in integrating tests with
  CI/CD pipelines
  and using
  Dockerized test environments
  .
- Experience with version control systems like
  Git
  and team-based development workflows.
