GCP Infrastructure Lead/Architect with deep, hands-on GCP networking expertise

Key Responsibilities

GCP Cloud Architecture

• Design and deploy large-scale GCP infrastructure across compute, network, storage and platform services.
• Build enterprise-secure, scalable environments in hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
• Implement high-availability, resilient architectures using GCP-native services.

Core Networking-

You will lead networking strategy and implementation across all GCP footprints. This includes:

Network Connectivity Center (NCC) Mandatory Hands-On

• Design and implement NCC-based hub-and-spoke network topologies.
• Configure NCC hubs, spokes, router appliances and multi-region connectivity.
• Build hybrid on-prem to GCP connectivity using NCC routing and BGP.
• Migrate/modernize VPC peering to NCC where required.

GCP Networking & Hybrid Connectivity

• VPC design, subnetting, IP planning and segmentation.
• Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, BGP routing, custom route tables.
• Cloud Interconnect (Partner/Dedicated), HA VPN and hybrid patterns.
• Traffic engineering, routing policies, firewalling and service networking.
• Optimize network performance, reliability and security across regions.

Automation & IaC

• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
• Automate environment provisioning, network configuration and CI/CD workflows.
• Write automation scripts in Python, Bash or PowerShell.

Containerization & Virtualization

• Manage Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
• Support VMware workloads in hybrid architectures.
• Implement observability across K8s/GKE using Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver etc.

Cross-Cloud Collaboration

• Work closely with AWS Cloud Engineering teams to ensure uniform architecture and operational standards.
• Contribute to multi-cloud routing and shared networking strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing GCP networking in production.

• Deep expertise in NCC (Network Connectivity Center) – mandatory.

• Proven experience with:
• VPC design & segmentation
• Cloud Router & BGP
• Cloud Interconnect & HA VPN
• Hybrid on-prem to GCP connectivity
• Routing, peering, firewalling
• Solid experience in Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Kubernetes / GKE / OpenShift experience.
• Strong scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell.
• Experience working with large enterprise or global-scale environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Google Cloud certifications: PCA, PCNE, Network Engineer, DevOps Engineer.Experience in multi-cloud networking (AWS + GCP).Exposure to enterprise observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk.
