Job Description

As a Garnishment Specialist at UKG, you will play a crucial role in handling various types of garnishments effectively and ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines. Your responsibilities will include: - Recognizing and categorizing orders for all garnishment types such as Child Support, Releases, Tax Levys, Student Loans, Bankruptcies, Balance Updates, Return to Customer, and Verify Income/Medical Support - Providing accurate and timely written answers to garnishment and/or court notices within prescribed time limits - Examining and reconciling garnishments efficiently - Responding promptly and accurately to internal contacts regarding garnishment deductions - Ensuring compliance by following the established process for each required mailing - Escalating non-routine inquiries and issues to higher authorities - Attending and actively participating in all scheduled meetings and reviews related to garnishment - Staying updated on federal and state guidelines for handling garnishment orders - Assisting with garnishment set-up for new client implementations - Being adaptable to process improvements and changes, and suggesting improvements for standard processes - Completing any other special projects or tasks assigned by the management Qualifications required for this role include: - 2-4 years of Garnishment experience - Knowledge of interpreting, entering, and answering withholding orders - Understanding of multi-state garnishment laws - Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications - Ability to manage work independently and meet required time frames - Excellent analytical ability in a high transaction volume environment - Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately - Graduation/Post Graduation with related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred qualifications: - Working knowledge of UltiPro - FPC or CPP certification is a plus Interpersonal skills required: - Highly motivated and team-oriented - Strong oral and written communication skills - Superior service orientation - Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills - Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Effective in dealing with individuals at all organizational levels - Process-oriented with a commitment to excellence At UKG, you will be part of a company that is leading in the market share for workforce management and human capital management.
