Garment Technician/Technical designer

Job Description

We are searching for a passionate and detail-oriented garment technician to join our Fit & Quality team. In this role, you will examine patterns and analyze fit samples to evaluate their feasibility, collaborate with the Fit & Quality team based in Mexico, work closely with purchasing teams and vendors, and important to use your skill and expert eye to ensure that the best products are produced. A successful technical designer will be passionate, fashion-forward, and possess great technical acumen. Ideal candidates should be deadline-driven, have a keen eye for detail, and demonstrate sound knowledge of global brands apparel industry. Job position objective: Ensure that all garments received for Fit analysis have measurements according to the Manual of Coppel measurements that guarantee to satisfy the comfort and appearance of the articles when dressed by our Coppel market. Role & responsibilities Strategic: Question and control the Fit analysis of the garments selected in Planning.Update measurement formats for Suppliers. Participate in guide courses on Fit processes for Suppliers. Administrative Manage the business in the absence of the Manager, making decisions on their behalf as required. Aids in developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives. Schedule and coordinate meetings. Operations Analyze Master's (list of registered codes) and those that require review for Fit. Request sample from Suppliers for Fit analysis. Receive samples and record the date of receipt in the Fits Log with which they are monitored. Make sure that the garments that will be analyzed in Fit have the ID Card. Measure the garments based on the Coppel Measurement Manual, and send observations to Suppliers to make modifications to the Fit, if required.Implement measurement changes and make contingency plans as necessary. Fill out the Measurement Form correctly. Authorize the Fit of the samples. Request directory updates from buyers at the beginning of each season. Follow up via email on SKUs in the fit and missing process. Generate lists of missing items at the end of the period. Development advice to strategic suppliers, with areas of opportunity. Check your email to respond to help requests on timeCorrectly use all the formats of the Manual "MC Compras Ropa". Maintain and fill out the Fits and Master's log on a daily basis. Generate a list of SKUs to review during quality inspections at CeDis. Maintain constant and effective communication with the Trends, Quality and Purchasing departments. Keep updated of all changes that might exist of the Coppel Measurement Manual from Mexico Office. Maintain communication with purchasing team in cases of extensions and/or cancellations. Reception all samples and deliver to the suppliers when is requested. Create book of registration and follow up of all the samples received and under process. Set the request of the fit models whenever is needed for fit sessions. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in fashion, technical design, or a related field. 5+ years experience for senior roles or with international brands. . Knowledge and experience with patternmaking with ability to justify design changes. Deadline-driven and committed to quality.
