Role & responsibilities Implement strategic merchandising plans tailored to the woven segment to achieve divisional objectives and sales targets. Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with clients suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality woven garments. Responsible for Negotiate pricing agreements and monitor production costs for garments to optimize profitability while maintaining product quality standards. Responsible for releasing & controlling the raw materials for production. Responsible for authorizing all Garment/ Fabric testing. Interacting with all department such as production, design, fabrics & accessories, sourcing, production, quality control, shipping and accounts to ensure that all are in sync in the process of customer delight. Coordinated with buyers on new order builds and assisted in trade calendar planning. Maintained pricing in line with brand and business guidelines for each country. Developed and optimized excel reporting structures and processes for efficient and timely team execution on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Factory and production managers to plan production to achieve the T&A. Follow-up buyer order requirements carefully Follow-up PP sample/Development sample/shipment sample carefully Follow-up production line report every day Provided shipping instructions and diligently followed up on shipments. Maintain strong relationships with Vendors in the garment segment, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and fostering long-term partnerships. Qualifications: Master's / Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in merchandising, product development, or related roles within the woven industry. Proven track record of success in driving product innovation, managing supplier relationships, and achieving sales targets within the woven segment. Proficiency in software and tools, ERP systems, WFX and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process improvements, material handling, and production techniques. Negotiating price & contract terms for continuous & in time supply of the materials. Proficient in both technical aspects and procurement expertise pertaining to woven fabrics. To give actionable direction and communicate/train customer initiatives to other members of business partner. Evaluation of quality of raw materials so that right quality materials is sourced. Monitoring fabric development, Coordinate with Designers, Merchandising team, Product development, production planning and inventory team, for existing/new product developments and trends forecasting. Lead, Organize & conduct daily/weekly/monthly inspections of fabric production related activities. To follow up in all stages of fabric production with mills from sourcing, approvals to bulk fabric production, quality assurance & control, testing, inspection dispatch & issue for garmenting production. Preparing a plan and schedules workflow for each department. Qualifications: Master's / Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or related field. Proven 8+ years of experience in Woven fabric purchase & production management within the textile manufacturing industry . Good knowledge and understanding of woven fabrics, quality, production, finishes, and inspection system. Proficiency in software and tools, ERP systems, WFX and Microsoft Office Suite. Good at costing, sourcing, negotiating, and buying skills. Technical and quality assessment of fabric manufacturing, dyeing and finishing, testing etc. Able to travel domestic & international for meeting vendor & customer.
