Description
Role & responsibilities Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies for process improvement that enhance production capacity, reduce downtime, and increase throughput. Design and optimize the production facility layout to minimize material handling, reduce travel time, and improve workflow. Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process improvements, material handling, and production techniques. Analyze labor costs, machine utilization, and material waste to find areas for savings. Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure garments meet the companies quality standards. Implement process changes that lead to a reduction in defects and improve overall product quality. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Just-in-Time (JIT) to streamline production and eliminate waste. Develop training programs to improve worker skills and knowledge in garment production processes. Work with the production team to create efficient work schedules, ensuring that production targets are met on time. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to avoid delays. Prepare regular reports on productivity, efficiency, and cost-saving measures. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a garment manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of garment production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control methods. Proficient in CAD software, MS Office, and production planning software. Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop practical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Ensuring that all processes are carefully planned, monitored, and adjusted to meet quality and production targets.
