Game Zone Operator

A Game Zone Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the game zone, ensuring profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:

    Oversee the day-to-day functions of the entire facility.
  • Staff Leadership:

    Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate staff, including operators, attendants, and technicians.
  • Equipment Maintenance:

    Monitor the functionality and maintenance of all gaming machines and equipment, coordinating with technical teams for repairs.
  • Customer Service:

    Handle customer feedback, complaints, and escalations to ensure a high level of guest experience.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and security standards, including emergency procedures and child protection policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing an arcade, game zone, or similar entertainment center (typically 2+ years).
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

A Game Zone Operator (also known as an Attendant or Game Host) is an on-floor role focused on direct customer assistance and basic machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open/close the zone, manage daily tasks and staff scheduling.
  • Ensure all games (VR, arcade, childrens games) are operational, clean, and safe.
  • Handle cash, track revenue, manage inventory (cards, merchandise).
  • Coordinate with technical teams for maintenance and repairs.
  • Customer Assistance:

    Greet customers, explain game rules and safety guidelines, and assist with game selection or card recharges.
  • Floor Operations:

    Monitor the gaming area to ensure smooth gameplay, maintain crowd control, and prevent misuse of equipment.
  • Basic Maintenance:

    Perform daily cleaning of machines/equipment and conduct basic troubleshooting or minor repairs.
  • Reporting:

    Promptly report any major technical or mechanical issues to the maintenance team or manager.
  • Sales & Billing:

    Handle billing and payment transactions, and promote special offers or merchandise when required.
  • Safety:

    Ensure all customers follow safety rules and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of gaming equipment (training is often provided).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage crowds.
  • Physically fit for standing for extended periods and handling equipment setup.
