Furniture Designer

Job Description

The Furniture Designer will be responsible for creating innovative and functional furniture designs, working closely with production and marketing teams to develop products that meet customer needs, budget constraints, and production capabilities. The ideal candidate should be creative, technically skilled, and knowledgeable about furniture materials, trends, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Develop original furniture designs based on market trends, customer feedback, and brand direction. Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, etc.). Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and feasible for manufacturing. Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each design. Prepare prototypes in coordination with carpentry and R&D teams. Modify designs based on feedback from stakeholders and clients. Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and ergonomic standards. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainability practices. Assist in creating product catalogs, design specs, and documentation.
