Functional Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Facilitate value discovery workshops with stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies, prioritize quick wins, and uncover value generation opportunities using Celonis.

2. Analyze processes across domains like Finance (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay) and Supply Chain to diagnose root causes of inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.

3. Design and implement advanced dashboards and applications in Celonis, leveraging Object-Centric Data Models (OCDM) to deliver meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.

4. Collaborate with business units to build use case pipeline, map workflows, identify pain points, and create data-driven roadmaps for process optimization and cost reduction.

5. Define and validate Celonis configurations, ensuring OCDM structures include relevant objects and parameters to meet use case requirements.

6. Understand the data requirement for the use case and ensure the OCDM has relevant objects or parameters

7. Lead end-to-end Celonis use case implementations, coordinating with data engineers and business analysts to deliver impactful solutions aligned with business goals.

8. Support adoption and continuous improvement of Celonis solutions, tailoring applications to address operational challenges and evolving business needs.

9. Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, leveraging Celonis insights to drive organizational transformation, enhance compliance, and identify automation opportunities.

10. Develop and present business cases, including cost-benefit analyses, to secure support for process improvement initiatives and demonstrate ROI.

11. Build strong relationships with process owners and key stakeholders to champion Celonis capabilities, ensuring alignment and widespread adoption of insights.

Lead workshops and presentations to communicate findings, serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Celonis, mentoring junior team members and enhancing the organization's capabilities in process mining

Preferred candidate profile

Possesses expert-level knowledge of Celonis Process Mining including value discovery, root cause analysis, and creating actionable insights

- Experience designing and implementing dashboards and applications using Object-Centric Data Models (OCDM).

- Experienced in driving process transformations in domains like Finance (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay) and Supply Chain using data-driven methodologies.

- Acts as the go-to expert for leveraging Celonis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process optimization.

- In-depth understanding of Celonis features such as action flows, ML Workbench, and other advanced capabilities.

- Well aware of Celonis offerings as well as fully aware of how OCPM works and related concepts to implement solutions accordingly, based on OCDM set up

- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, S4HANA preferred) and their data structures is advantageous.

- Strong command of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools for process analysis and dashboard creation (Celonis preferred).

- Working knowledge of Celonis' ML Workbench, enabling the use of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights.
