Job Description

At least 4-5 years of relevant experience Full tack - Angular Java (J2EE) web-based development technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

ؠImplementing the structure and design of web pages, based on the guidelines provided in the stories

ؠEnsuring user experience determines design choicesDeveloping features to enhance the user experience

ؠStriking a balance between functional and aesthetic design

ؠMobile first - Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones, again based on the provided guidelines

ؠBuilding reusable code for future use

ؠOptimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability

ؠUtilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages

ؠMaintaining brand consistency throughout the design, based on the given guidelines

ؠCollaborate with the team's technical analyst to define high level solutions and provide realistic estimations for each story

ؠEnsure in collaboration of the scrum master of the accuracy of the scrum backlog

ؠEnsure the completeness of the stories at the end of each iteration/script, ensure the acceptance criteria are executed and passed

ؠIs available for questions and delivers instantaneous feedback to the scrum team during the Sprint

ؠParticipate in the IT testing (from test case definitions until their execution)

ؠProvide support to e-Operations to ensure that incidents are managed/solved within adequate timing (depending on the criticality of the incident)

Profile

Competence required:

ؠProven experience in frontend development and Java web development (J2EE), combined with a strong analytical mindset

ؠKnowledge of Angular framework is a must

ؠKnowledge of headless CMS (Content Management System) Magnolia/Contentful is a must

ؠProfound understanding of web technologies is a must (HTTP(s) flows, storage, cookies, HTML5, CSS3, JAVASCRIPT, etc)

ؠThis person has also to embrace concepts such as clear acceptance criteria, executable requirements, short iterations, continuous feedback and clarity of business objectives.

ؠA successful candidate should strive to promote simple functional solutions and pragmatic decisions to the given requirements and provided technical analysis.

ؠMake suggestions for better solutions to problems

ؠAbility to work in a structured environment with flexibility for frequent changes of priorities

ؠAbility to work with external companies/partners

ؠUsing logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems (critical thinking).

ؠAbility to translate requirements into technical solutions according to rules, standards and guidelines defined in the architecture

ؠGood communication skills (spoken and written) according to the needs of different audiences

ؠEnglish is mandatory. Dutch and French are a plus

Requirements and Technologies

Technical skills:

ؠBachelor/University in computer science/equivalentUnderstanding of key design principles.

ؠProficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS and jQuery.Experience with FE (automated) testing / profiling

ؠExperience with FE build tools (Gulp / Grunt / Webpack)

ؠExperience with microservices architecture (nodeJS, Spring Boot) is a plusExperience with responsive and adaptive design.

ؠProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

ؠProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitUnderstanding of SEO principles.

ؠGood problem-solving skills.

ؠAt least 2-3 years of experience in Frontend technologies and 2-5 years of experience on Java (J2EE) web-based development technologies

ؠConsolidated experience in Angular and other frontend development frameworks (ex: React/React Native)

ؠGood experience with UML and design pattern

ؠExperience and comfortable with Agile methodologies, Jira/TargetProcess as issue and backlog management tool
