Description
You will be taking on the role of a Full Stack Lead within the Group Data Technology team at Purview, a leading Digital Cloud & Data Engineering company with a global presence. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and development of applications and services owned by the Group Data Technology team. You will provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring the development and deployment of applications in an Agile manner. As a Full Stack Lead, you should have the necessary technical expertise to drive the design and implementation of cloud-native applications and services. This may involve working with APIs and microservices built using the Spring Boot framework. Experience in developing APIs, Spring Boot, frontend technologies, and database technologies on the cloud is essential. Additionally, experience in data pipeline architecture and optimization of big data pipelines and datasets is desirable. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement frontend and backend features based on backlog priorities. - Collaborate with the engineering team to design and launch new features. - Proactively engage with internal customers to address their issues and fulfill feature requests. - Develop APIs and microservices to solve significant business problems. - Work in an Agile CI/CD environment to deliver rapid iterations consistently. - Support teams in showcasing their APIs on the Internal API Developer Portal. - Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery. Job Requirements: - Minimum of 8 years of experience in a professional software engineering organization as a hands-on developer. - At least 3 years of experience in a lead engineer role managing, building, and delivering business solutions with frontend and backend elements. - Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both business and technology audiences. - Expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, microservices, modern GUIs, cloud deployment, and DevOps. - Proficiency in fundamental frontend languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, and Angular. - Experience with various database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB. Knowledge of Neo4J or other graph DBs is a plus. - Stable work background with experience in design, development, and integration on cloud platforms in a continuous delivery environment. - Experience in deploying microservices to Kubernetes. - Expertise in REST APIs, open API development, and SOA concepts, with a good grasp of design patterns. - Hands-on experience in designing and building REST APIs. - Familiarity with Developer Process Automation tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, etc. - Experience with Service Virtualization, Functional and Performance Tests. - Familiarity with TDD and preferably BDD. - Experience in designing cloud-native applications is advantageous. - Knowledge of Kong API Gateway or similar products across API lifecycle development and management is a plus. - Previous consulting experience across various domains and exposure to different technology platforms is highly beneficial.
