The technician will work in the field to ensure that fiber installations are completed on time, to standard, and with minimal disruption to customers. Key Responsibilities: • Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables. • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of FTTX networks. • Perform OTDR, power meter, and other fiber testing procedures. • Read and interpret network design blueprints and schematics. • Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to resolve technical issues. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. • Follow health and safety guidelines and company protocols. Requirements: • Diploma or technical certification in Telecommunications or related field. • 1+ years of experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance. • Familiarity with splicing tools, OTDRs, and optical power meters. • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and confined spaces.
