· Diagnosing and troubleshooting: Technicians run diagnostic tests to identify any issues in mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. They assess system performance and isolate faulty parts.
· Preventive maintenance: A key part of their role is performing regular, scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns. This could involve lubricating parts, replacing worn components, or cleaning machinery.
· Repairs and replacements: When a system malfunctions or a part is worn out, they are responsible for repairing or replacing the defective parts to restore the machine's functionality.
· System improvements: They may also suggest upgrades or modifications to improve system efficiency or reduce downtime.
Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other).
