Freight Pricing & Shipment Coordinator

Main Responsibilities

• Freight Rate Negotiation
• Liaise daily with major shipping lines and forwarders (MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk, Hapag Lloyd, Evergreen, etc.).
• Obtain and compare ocean freight quotes for container and bulk shipments.
• Negotiate rates based on volume commitments and seasonality.
• Maintain an updated rate database for all key routes (India, Brazil, the Middle East, Africa).
• Client Quotation
• Prepare export freight quotations for customers based on destination, volume, and Incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF).
• Ensure profit margins are maintained while staying competitive.
• Respond quickly to inquiries from the sales team or clients.
• Shipment Coordination
• Book containers with selected carriers and confirm schedules.
• Coordinate cargo readiness with factory (Bariq Stone / Jabal Exim production teams).
• Arrange documentation — shipping instructions, draft BL, etc.
• Track shipments until delivery at destination port and update clients.
• Vendor Management
• Build strong relationships with shipping line agents, CHA (Customs House Agents), and transporters.
• Evaluate and recommend the best forwarders based on service and reliability.
• Cost Control & Reporting
• Track all shipping costs to ensure targets are met.
• Provide weekly reports on rates, booked shipments, and cost savings.
• Suggest more economical routes or consolidation options.

Required Skills

• Deep knowledge of sea freight pricing, Incoterms, and port procedures.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to handle export documentation (BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, etc.).
• Excellent communication in English (and ideally Hindi/Portuguese or Arabic for Brazil/Middle East coordination).
• Proficient in Excel, email correspondence, and shipment tracking tools.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
