Freelance Video Editor (DaVinci Resolve Specialist) - Project-Based Contract

A Note to Potential Collaborators:

Project Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage the end-to-end post-production for assigned video projects, from assembling raw footage to final delivery, primarily using the DaVinci Resolve suite.
• Collaborate effectively with our in-house Creative Head and other editors on larger projects, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality final product.
• Perform intricate color correction and advanced color grading, aligning with the Creative Head's vision to ensure a consistent, cinematic look.
• Execute detailed audio editing, mixing, and sweetening to create a polished and immersive sound experience.
• Work within our established digital asset management system and project structure to ensure seamless collaboration and file sharing.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently and professionally throughout the editing workflow.
• Ensure all final video exports are optimized for various platforms and meet technical specifications.

Requirements:

• Non-Negotiable Expertise in DaVinci Resolve:

  You must be highly proficient with extensive, demonstrable experience in the DaVinci Resolve suite (Edit, Color, Fairlight, and Fusion pages).

• A Strong Portfolio:

  Your portfolio must prominently feature projects edited and graded in DaVinci Resolve. Please provide a link to your portfolio with your application.

• Proven Remote Collaboration Experience:

  You must be a strong communicator with proven experience working effectively in a remote team setting. The ability to manage feedback, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines is essential.

• Deep Technical Knowledge:

  A strong track record as a Video Editor, with a deep understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, and best practices for file sharing.

• Keen Eye for Detail:

  A meticulous approach to every aspect of the editing process, from sync and pacing to color accuracy and audio quality.

• Exceptional Organizational & Time-Management Skills:

  The ability to manage complex projects, handle large amounts of footage, and deliver high-quality work on schedule is crucial.
