FPGA Software Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement FPGA designs using HDLs.
• Design and optimize RTL for high-performance systems.
• Work with Xilinx software for FPGA and software co-design.
• Write, test, and debug Linux based embedded software for FPGA SoC targets.
• Utilize debugging tools to troubleshoot and validate designs.
• Integrate and optimize communication protocols, including but not limited to AXI, DMA, and MMIO for high-throughput data transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware engineers, software engineers) to ensure seamless system integration.
• Maintain documentation of design, test, and validation procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in FPGA software development
• Proficient in Verilog / SystemVerilog for RTL design.
• Strong working knowledge of Vivado, Vitis, and Xilinx SDK tools.
• In-depth knowledge of AXI, DMA, and MMIO interfaces.
• Hands-on experience in debugging tools like Vivado logic analyzer, ChipScope, and others.
• Experience with PetaLinux development and debugging embedded systems.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel, device drivers, and embedded software development.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with high-performance, data-intensive applications and signal processing systems.
• Experience working with Ethernet IPs, baseband processors, and SDR systems.
• Knowledge of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms and their implementation on FPGAs.
• Hands-on experience with Zynq Ultrascale+ RFSoCs.
• Understanding of networking protocols and concepts (OSI stack).
• Working knowledge of RF concepts.
