Founding Engineer

As the Founding Engineer at Black Panda Enterprises, you will play a crucial role in setting up the in-house engineering capability to design, ship, and scale products for clients and internal ventures. You will work directly with the founding team to own product development end-to-end, from architecture and coding to deployment and scaling. This is an opportunity to be at the ground floor of building Black Panda's product-building capability and working across multiple products and internal ventures. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Product Development:** Build, test, and ship scalable applications using Python/Django, React, and Node.js. - **Architecture & Design:** Define tech stack, architecture, and best practices for in-house products. - **Execution Partner:** Collaborate with founders and consultants to translate ideas and requirements into working products. - **Multi-Project Delivery:** Lead engineering execution across multiple product initiatives. - **DevOps & Deployment:** Own CI/CD, cloud deployments (AWS/GCP), and basic infra management. - **Team Building:** Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building out Black Panda's engineering team over time. **Qualifications Required:** - 3-4 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer in Python/Django, React, and Node.js. - Strong understanding of databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB) and REST/GraphQL APIs. - Experience deploying applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Comfort with agile sprints, rapid prototyping, and working across multiple domains. - Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, take ownership, and move fast. - Bonus: Experience in EdTech, HealthTech, or SaaS products.
