  • In this role, you'll be in charge of the preparation, cooking and service of food based on agreed standards and specification. Thus, your ability to provide high-quality catering services will be essential to succeed in this fast-paced yet exciting field.
  • A typical day would involve ensuring that the calorie count of each food served is on display; and on special days (such as VIP visits, conference, festivals, etc.), you'll find yourself preparing and ironing out plans for events. From time to time, you will also reach out to staff and employees for their feedback through the cafeteria online survey to get a fuller picture of the strengths and improvement areas of your services.
  • Taking budget into account

  • One of your challenges will be to make smart, cost-effective decisions with regard to the use of all resources such as stocks, team members and company assets. As such, you must keep a close watch on the budget and come up with saving opportunities to reduce cost.
  • You will also prepare the F&B operational manual or handbook and take part in the weekly call with all caf SPOC and FMs to discuss any operational challenges. As the unit's go-to person, you should also stand ready to offer your advice and solutions on daily operational challenges.
  • Being a stickler for safety

  • This role will also keep you on your toes, as you will need to make sure that catering operationsfrom food and raw material specifications to equipmentare kept safe and secure, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • On top of that, you will conduct work and food safety audits as a preventive approach. You'll also have a hand in preparing the surprise cafeteria monthly audit calendar, which you will share with the line manager. You'll also be expected to be an ace initiative when it comes to reducing food waste for all cafeterias.

  • Dealing with food vendors as well as supply vendors.
  • Tracking and changing the menu according to the users & occasions.
  • Tracking food MG daily and forecast next week's MG.
  • Tasting food before it is served and doing the possible modifications to it.
  • Accountable for cafeteria food operation.
  • Taking the feedbacks to the food vendor and making sure of the corrective actions.
  • Responsible for the food hygiene at site level.
  • Creating festival menus and food arrangements for specific celebrations.
  • Constantly planning for food fests and pop-up counters for employee engagement activities.
  • Arranging food for in-house events and seminars.
  • Analysis on food related spend vs budget
  • Connecting with food vendors for necessary changes and challenges.
  • Placing inventory order to the supply vendor.
  • Keeping record of inventory of pantry.
  • Events

  • Be a point of contact for all event requirements
  • Connecting with different hotels for networking/ create a database for future events.
  • Have a site-wise event tracker for better understanding & timely execution
  • Post event activities
  • Closing payments and invoice for the events.
  • Taking feedback of support provided for the events and work further improvements for future events
  • Create a GPS-driven events list
  • Throw suggestions on other corporate happenings and see if some can be adopted for Nike employees
