Fleet Executive

About Trident Group-

Trident Group is one of Indias largest and most diversified business conglomerates with global leadership in textiles, paper, chemicals, and energy. To strengthen our logistics operations, we are looking for an experienced Fleet Executive to manage large-scale vehicle operations at our Budhni (Madhya Pradesh) and Dhaula (Punjab) plants.

Role & Responsibilities-

The Fleet Executive will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, maintenance, and compliance of a large fleet of trucks and heavy vehicles. The role demands strong operational control, vendor coordination, and cost optimization while ensuring safety and compliance standards-

• Manage and monitor large fleet operations (trucks, trailers, and other vehicles) to ensure timely and efficient logistics.
• Supervise vehicle scheduling, deployment, and route planning to optimize cost and turnaround time.
• Ensure regular maintenance, servicing, and fitness certification of vehicles.
• Oversee fuel consumption, mileage tracking, and cost control measures.
• Manage drivers and support staff, ensuring discipline, training, and compliance with road safety norms.
• Coordinate with transport vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain records of vehicle documents, insurance, permits, and statutory compliance.
• Monitor and implement fleet management systems/telematics for real-time tracking.
• Ensure compliance with RTO norms, Motor Vehicle Act, and company policies.
• Support in accident management, claim processing, and risk mitigation.

Desired Skills & Qualifications-

• Graduate/Diploma in Logistics, Mechanical, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in managing a large fleet of trucks/heavy vehicles (preferably in manufacturing/logistics sector).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations, and compliance.
• Experience in handling large driver workforce and vendors.
• Proficiency in fleet management systems, MS Excel, and reporting.
• Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
